POSITION RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:
- Required to visually inspect finished product through the various packaging stages
- Assemble cartons and place proper quantity of product into each box
- Inspect packages for proper seal, wight and labeling
- Shut down packaging machine and notifies Machine Operator or department leader when problem occurs
- Moves material to and from warehouses as required
- Rotates every 2 hours between making boxes and/or packaging small bags versus large bags
- Must assemble and disassemble packing machines
- Basic housekeeping duties
- Daily sorting and labeling of cartons
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or GED
REQUIRED SKILL PROFILE:
Must be capable of simple mathematics, reading and writing
Necessary communication skills to accurately express information regarding production safety and quality
Good hand eye coordination
Be responsible to meet company’s finished product quality expectations
Be a team player
Follow all safety regulations while working
Attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environment
Time management skills
Physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds
