When I first heard of cauliflower steaks, I didn’t get it! Then I was out to eat with my daughter in New York City and saw them on the menu. I ordered them just to see what they were all about, and boy was I pleasantly surprised how delicious and beautiful cauliflower could be!
For mine, I like to slice the cauliflower without removing any of the bottom stem or leaves. That way the “steaks” hold up better.
Then once cooked you can remove the stem and leaves as you wish. I also love to drizzle extra tahini over my steaks. I find the combination of cauliflower and tahini dreamy delicious!
